designer's notes

This was part of the Shakespeare Technical Showcase and an extract of the play.  The design consisted of mostly neutral warm colours to complement the indoor nature of the scene and the costume, designed by Abi Cody. The task of killing Polonius through using light and a muslin screen was an idea from myself and the set team, Flo Shillam and Jack Jenkins. I also used uplighters/blinders to shine through the screen during the ghost moment, to add to the abnormal and surreal atmosphere.
